LEONA LACHER

BLANCHARD-Services for Leona Lacher, 66, Blanchard, formerly of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Revs. Toney Buck and Tommy Lacher will officiate. Burial will follow at High Hill Cemetery. A Wake service will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Lacher died Sunday, March 28, 2010 at a Denton, Texas hospital. She was born January 8, 1944 at Talihina, Oklahoma to John and Pearline Alberson Billey. She attended Tupelo schools and graduated from Tupelo High School.

She married David Wayne Lacher on May 8, 1963. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2002 in Ada. Mrs. Lacher was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include three sons, Ricky Lacher, Lewisville, Texas, David Leroy Lacher, Orlando, Florida, and David Lacher, Jr., Lewisville, Texas; two daughters, Tonia Matthews, Blanchard and Laverna Lacher, Seagoville, Texas; twenty grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; four sisters, Virginia Aguilar, Ada, Jennifer Williams, Irving, TX, Carolyn Canida, Ahloso, and Wanda Welch, Oklahoma City; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, one granddaughter, three sisters, and five brothers.

Bearers will be David Lacher, Jr., David Leroy Lacher, Ricky Lacher, Bryan Billey, Joseph Billey, Mark Gobel, Neal Gobel and Jeffery Williams. Honorary bearers will be all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
