LEONA MILLER
AHLOSO-Services for Leona M. Miller, 87, of Ahloso are 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Stonewall First Baptist Church, Rev. Richard Dickerson will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Stonewall.
Mrs. Miller died Friday, October 5, 2012 at a local nursing home. She was born October 27, 1924 in Boswell, Oklahoma to Rayford and Katie Murphy May. She attended Jesse and Stonewall schools and graduated from Stonewall High School.
She married Loyd Miller on November 15, 1968. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and also a pathology secretary at Valley View Regional Hospital, retiring after 21 years of service. She was an active member of Stonewall Baptist Church and the Quilters Club in Stonewall for many years. She was also an accomplished seamstress.
Survivors include her husband, Loyd Miller, of the home; two sons, Larry Joe Miller of Wasilla, AK, and Steven Miller and wife Kala of Seminole; a daughter, Carolyn Murray and husband Dennis of Owasso; her grandchildren, Misty Lynn Miller, Tia Dawn Benham, Steven Paul Miller, Brett Miller, Tyler Miller, Greg Murray, Wesley Murray and Carrie Watts; 6 great grandchildren; a brother, Fred May and wife Lavoice of Jesse; and three sisters, Valine Miller, Jesse, Delcie Alexander, Oklahoma City and Ella Rae Long of California.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Lee Miller; two brothers, Bill May and Pete May; and a sister, Lacrecia Loyer.
Bearers will be her grandsons, Steven Paul Miller, Brett Miller, Tyler Miller, Greg Murray, Wesley Murray and Hunter Denner.
