LEO POE

ADA-Services for Leo Clem Poe, 57, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Baptist Church, Revs. Brad Hawkins and Larry Hawkins will officiate. Burial will follow at Pontotoc Cemetery.

Mr. Poe died Saturday, May 22, 2010 at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born June 24, 1952 at Talihina to James David and Opal Leona Collins Poe. He lived in this area all his life and graduated from McLish High School in 1970. He attended Murray State College in Tishomingo for a year and a half.

He married Debra Hart on June 21, 1978 in Pontotoc, Oklahoma. Mr. Poe was a security guard at Carl Albert Indian Health Facility and a member of Blue Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Poe, of the home; a daughter, Kristi Wallace and husband Jason, Connerville; a son, Gerry Paul Poe and wife Shaunda, Midwest City; six grandchildren, Kelsey Olson, Mikayla Poe, Krysten Wallace, Jacob Wallace, Takoda Poe and Mikenna Poe; two sisters, JoAnn Hawkins and husband Larry, Stonewall and Fern Herrod, Ada; two brothers, J. C. Poe, Connerville and David Poe and wife Sharon, Pontotoc; a brother-in-law, Bill Fife, Dustin; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mary Fife and a brother, Jody Poe.

Bearers will be Cecil Russell, Virgil Franks, Andy Timmons, Steve Bell, Randall Walton and Brett Converse. Honorary bearers will be Willie Timmons, Jacob Wallace, Jeff Fife, Takoda Poe, Randall Hawkins, Levi Hart, Alan Poe, and Stoney Arterberry.
