Lela Richardson
Services for Lela Kathryn Richardson, 87, of Ada are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Union Hill Baptist Church, Rev. Philip Mullin and Mr. Lynn Lofton will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Richardson passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 at an Ada nursing home. She was born September 13, 1929 at the Walnut Grove Community, west of Ada to Robert and Irene Moss Tilley. She attended Vanoss school.
She married Matt Richardson June 14, 1947. He preceded her in death October 15, 1987. Mrs. Richardson was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Union Hill Baptist Church. She loved her church and her church family.
Survivors include four sons, Roger Richardson and wife Linda, Darrel Richardson and wife Carol, and Terry Richardson and wife Sherry all of Ada, and Gayland Richardson of Sulphur; five sisters, Iona Crockett, Oregon, , Winnie Bailes, California, and Lura Bosteder, Carlene McNutt and Kay Daigle, all of Ada; six grandsons, Steve Richardson, Jason Richardson and wife Jana, Jeremy Richardson, Tyler Richardson and wife Jessica, Ryan Richardson and Destry Richardson and wife Anna; six granddaughters, Stacie Humphrey and husband Chris, Shelley Snider and husband Denny, Karis Alford and husband Brandon, Janessa Hughes and husband Jeff, LaDawn Richardson and Terra Fortner and husband Alan; and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Carl Tilley and Olen Tilley; and a sister, Lavona Jones.
Bearers will be her grandsons, Steve Richardson, Jason Richardson, Jeremy Richardson, Tyler Richardson, Ryan Richardson and Destry Richardson.
