LELA BELLE O'NEAL

ADA-Services for Lela Belle O'Neal, 97, Ada are 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. George Warren will officiate. A Private Family Committal service will follow the chapel service.

Mrs. O'Neal died Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at a local hospital. She was born September 19, 1910 at Jolly, Texas to John and Enna Morgan Jenkins. She attended Jolly, Texas schools and graduated from Wichita Falls High School. She was graduated from Midwestern Junior College in Wichita Falls, Texas. She and her family moved to Ada in 1938 from Tyler, Texas.

She married Preston O'Neal December 25, 1930 at Waurika, Oklahoma. He died April 7, 1996. Mr. and Mrs. O'Neal owned O'Neal's Jewelers in Ada for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, an avid bridge player and teacher, and an avid reader.

Survivors include three sons, Pat O'Neal and wife Ina Fae, Ada, Jay O'Neal and wife Karen, Crested Butte, Colorado, and Benton O'Neal and wife Skippy, Ada; ten grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

Bearers will be John Morey, Darrell Thompson, Preston O'Neal III, Robbie O'Neal, Benton O'Neal Jr., John O'Neal II, and Patrick O'Neal.
