LELA JACKSON
ADA-Services for Lela Mae Jackson, 92, Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. John Haynes will officiate. A Private burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Jackson died Monday, January 28, 2008 at a local hospital. She was born July 15, 1915 at Garland County, Arkansas to Ben and Emma Lowe Turner. She graduated from Latta High School.
She married Leon "Boots" Jackson on June 4, 1934. He died June 22, 1997. Mrs. Jackson worked in retail in numerous stores in Ada, and later owned Pauline's Dress Shop and she was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Wynema Anderson and husband Andy, Ada; a granddaughter, Gina Stafford, Ada; two grandsons, Jeff Anderson, Ada, and Bobby Jackson, Farmington, New Mexico; five great grandchildren, Matt Stafford, Casper, Wyoming, Shawn Stafford, Ada, Allison Stafford, Ada, and Montana and Devon Anderson, Ada; a sister, Leva Jackson, Fresno, California; nieces, Donna Balch, Ada, Jean Buckelow, California, Patricia Jackson, California, Juanita Lankow, California, and Connie Ost, California; and a nephew, Tom Turner, Ada.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Harold Jackson on November 11, 2004, two sisters, Bonnie Townsend and Ann Hamblin, and a brother, Lee Turner, Ada
