SUE JOHNSON
ADA-Services for Leila Sue Johnson, 88 of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Life Community Church, Rev. Mickey Keith will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson died Saturday, February 13, 2016. She was born May 18, 1927 in Ada, Oklahoma to Henry and Minola Akin Shelton. She attended Ninnekah schools.
She married James Arley Johnson on October 4, 1951. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2011. Mrs. Johnson was employed with Hazel Atlas Glass Company for 11 years in the packing department, Blue Bell Company in the sewing department for 10 years, and also Valley View Regional Hospital in Central Supply for 10 years. She was an active member of Life Community Church for many years.
Survivors include two sons, James Arley Johnson, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Ada, and Tony Johnson of Ada; four grandsons; one granddaughter; one great granddaughter; and two great grandsons; two sisters, Bernadine O'Brien and Violet Marie Sliger, both of Ada; two sisters-in-law, Joann Shelton and Elaine Shelton, both of Ada; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and five brothers, Clell Shelton and his wife Linda Shelton, Bobby Gene Shelton, Billy Ray Shelton, Teddy John Shelton and his wife Billie Bernice Shelton and Jerry Don Shelton.
Bearers will be her sons, James Johnson and Tony Johnson, and her grandsons, Josh Johnson, Dylln Johnson, Dalton Johnson and Jesse Johnson.
