LEAH ANDERSON
STRATFORD-Graveside services for Leah Marjorie Anderson, 82, Stratford, are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Center Cemetery. Don Hoover will officiate.
Mrs. Anderson died Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at her home. She was born October 31, 1925 at Marceline, Missouri to Richard and Mildred Machen Asbury. She graduated from Marceline High School.
She married Davis L. "Andy" Anderson on December 30, 1950 in California. He died August, 1995. She and her family moved to Ada in 1964 from Missouri. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Stratford Nursing Home until her retirement. Later, she was a Foster Grandparent with the Pickett-Center Head Start Program.
Survivors include three sons, Danny Standley and wife Glenda, Marceline, Missouri, Richard Anderson and wife Geraldine, Ada, and Scot Anderson, Ada; three daughters, Leah Delozier, Ada, Gloria Smith, Tulsa, and Louisa (Luke) and Gary Lawrence, Talihina; eighteen grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren; also brother, Ray Carl Asbury, Marceline, Missouri, a sisters-in-law, Billie Jo Asbury, Woodbury, Tennessee, Edna and Fred Letterman, Stratford, and Juanita Stiles, Gaar Corner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, David L. Anderson, a brother, George Asbury of Woodbury, Tennessee, a sister, Francis Standley, Marceline, Missouri.
