Lawrence Ray "Uncle" Poindexter's Obituary
LAWRENCE POINDEXTER
ADA-Services for Lawrence Ray Poindexter, 63, Ada, are 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 5, 2007, at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Earl Hood will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Poindexter died Monday, October 1, 2007 at his home. He was born August 13, 1944 at Ada, Oklahoma to Wilburn and Leona Bell Lancaster Poindexter. He attended Union Hill and Vanoss schools.
Mr. Poindexter was a heavy equipment operator and an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Poindexter, of the home; a step-son, Kirby Delozier, Ada; a brother, Carson Poindexter, Ada, a sister, Joann Flowers, Ada; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Phillip H. Poindexter and David Ray Poindexter.
Bearers will be his nephews, Shawn Poindexter, Kirby Delozier, Justin Holder, Timmy Eubank, Jimmy Bottoms, and Eric Poindexter.
