ADA-Graveside services for Lawrence Douglas Coffee, 83, of Ada, formerly of Harden City, are 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Wells Valley Cemetery near Bromide.
Mr. Coffee died Thursday, December 6, 2012 at an Ada nursing home. He was born May 30, 1929 near Bromide, Johnston County, Oklahoma to Denson and Josie Evans Coffee. He attended Bromide schools.
He married Margaret Louise Westbrook on August 21, 1948. She preceded him in death in 1994. Mr. Coffee was a heavy equipment operator, he also had ranched, worked in the oifield and in construction.
Survivors include two sons, Harold Coffee, Ada, and Alan Coffee, Edmond; three sisters, Maxine Pitman, Mill Creek, Faye Penick, San Pablo, CA, and Weta Fern Salazar, Rodeo, CA; two brothers, Hershel Coffee, Elmore City and Cletus Coffee, Lone Grove; and two grandchildren, Kayla Coffee, and Lyndsey Coffee, Oklahoma City.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Farell Coffee and Archie Coffee.
