LARRY CERDA
ADA-Private services are planned at a later date for Lawrence Joseph "Larry" Cerda, 86 of Ada.
Mr. Cerda died Monday, November 21, 2011 in Ada. He was born September 25, 1925 at Tulsa, Oklahoma to Curly and Louisa Perez Cerda. He attended Tulsa schools and graduated from Central High School in Tulsa. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.
Mr. Cerda was a chemist for Sun Oil Company retiring after 28 years of service. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II from March 4, 1943 until being honorably discharged as a Mineman, First Class in 1946.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol Peshehonoff and her husband Theo of Ada, and Darlene Jo Schiefelbien and her husband Craig of Houston, TX; and four grandchildren, Corbett Cerda and his wife Laurie of Bartlesville, Cory Nicole French and Teylor Marie Schiefelbien of Houston, TX, and Joe Peshehonoff of Ada.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wessie Mae Cerda, July 2006 in Wagoner, OK; and a son, Joe Dale Cerda in July 1987.
