Lawrence Archer

Memorial services for Lawrence Wesley Archer, 72, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Union Hill Baptist Church, Rev. Randy Nail will officiate.

Mr. Archer passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018 at his home. He was born November 22, 1945 at Ada to Leonard Bryant and Myrtle Sunshine Norton Archer. He graduated from Vanoss High School in 1963.

He married Andrea Jean Byford March 6, 1977. Mr. Archer was a dozer operator employed with the City of Ada. He loved the Lord and was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. He loved his family, music and playing the guitar. Mr. Archer served in the Oklahoma National Guard.

Survivors include his wife, Andrea, of the home; his five children, Tracie Merritt and husband Dean, Stacie Hefley and husband Cody, Kevin Hood and wife Kristi, all of Ada, Wesley Archer and Angie Archer; seven grandchildren, Jake Johnson and wife Tosha, Ada, Derek Johnson, Ft. Worth, TX, and Cody Johnson and wife Georgie, Emily Merritt, Mason Merritt, Kylee Hood and Kyler Hood, all of Ada; three great-grandchildren, Conner, Cooper and Carson Johnson; and a sister, Jeanie Pisano, Hurst, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lillian and Lois; and three brothers, Lewis, Lindell and Larry.
