Lawana Dopson

A visitation for Lawana Jean Dopson, 68, of Ada will be Thursday, July 10, 2025,  from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Criswell Funeral Home.

Lawana passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025, at her home.  She was born December 2, 1956, in Ada to Thomas Gray and Lawanda Joyce Beach Gilliam.

On February 14, 1976, she married Ronald Gene Dopson.  Lawana was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and a friend to many.  She retired as the area manager for Big Five where she worked with clients who were physically and developmentally disabled.  She retired at the age of 62.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald of the home; son, Thomas Dopson; daughter, Jennifer West; brother, Kevin Gilliam; and sister, Sharon Gilliam.

Lawana was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Thomas E. Gilliam; and maternal and paternal grandparents.

The family request small flower arrangements or a donation to Big Five be made in remembrance of Lawana.
