MAE MARTIN
ADA-Services for Laura Mae Martin, 88, of Ada, are 12:00 p.m. Noon Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Bud Jones will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Martin died Saturday, November 9, 2013 at a local nursing home. She was born February 14, 1925 in Kentucky. Her family moved to Ada when she was young to be close to her grandparents.
She married Leo Martin on April 18, 1942. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2006. Mrs. Martin was employed with Brockway Glass Company in Ada from 1954 until retiring in 1987. She was also a babysitter, care giver, cook, and avid bowler. She was a longtime member of Cottage Avenue Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son, James Martin of Ada; daughter, Linda Davis and husband Don of Ada; her grandchildren, LaDonna Halverson, Ada, Laurie and Joel Truelove of Tahoka, TX, and Gene and Kelli Davis of Norman; her great grandchildren, Taylor and Hilary Davis, Amanda and Mike Garcia, Jessica Halverson, A'Leesha Truelove, Mariah Halverson, Brooke Davis, Kayla Halverson and Joshua Davis; a great great granddaughter, Zoe Garcia; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Betty Crawley Wofford; her husband of 64 years, Leo Martin; and her brother and sisters.
Bearers will be Joel Truelove, Taylor Davis, Steve Elmore, Joshua Davis, Scot Ladd and Brandon Atkins. Honorary bearer will be Brandon Elmore.
