LARRY REVELS
ADA-Services for Larry Boyd Revels, 59, Ada, are 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Criswell Chapel, Rev. Randall Christy and Howard Stone officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
Mr. Revels died on Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at his home. He was born June 2, 1950, in Ada to Earl Boyd Revels and Sylvia Colleen Revels. He graduated from Deer Creek High School and attended Oklahoma Horseshoeing School. Mr. Revels worked as a 211 Operator for the State of Oklahoma, and he had also served in the U. S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include his mother, Colleen Revels, Ada; two children, Sara Davis, Plant City, Florida; and Jessie Revels, Plant City, Florida; 5 grandchildren; four brothers, Roger Revels, Ada; David Revels and his wife Sharon, Bradenton, Florida; Darold Revels and his wife Patty, Ada; and Jim Revels, Ada; and four sisters, Diana Revels, Ada; Karen Youngblood and her husband Wesley, Aline, Oklahoma; Deborah Stone and her husband Jon, Seminole; and Brenda Gilstrap and her husband Carroll, Ada.
He was preceded in death by his father, Boyd Revels, and a son, Shane Revels.
Bearers are Roger Revels, David Revels, Darold Revels, Jim Revels, Terry Irwin and Brian Weems. Honorary bearers are Carroll Gilstrap, Jon Stone, Jeffery Revels, Chad Revels, Matthew Revels and Travis Thornberry.
