Larry Eager

Graveside services for Larry Don Eager, of Roff, Oklahoma, are 12:00 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2025, at Dolberg Cemetery; Rev. Josh Riley will officiate.

Larry passed away on May 9, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 1, 1954, in Ada, Oklahoma, to Preacher and Dorothy Eager.

Larry attended school in Roff, where he met the love of his life, Sherrie Frost. They were married on August 23, 1971, in Old Mexico, and together they built a strong and loving family over their 53 years of marriage.

Larry was the proud father of two sons, Clayton Eager and wife Deneice, and the late Chase Eager. He was a devoted grandfather to Madison Scott and boyfriend Mike, Macy Wise, Makenna and husband Dillon Scott, Elijah Eager and girlfriend Abbi, Hunter Eager, Haiden Eager, Maezie Eager, Josh Eager and wife Aubrie, Olivia Eager, and Katie Eager. He was blessed with great-grandchildren Porter, Amelia, Jack, and Owen Scott; Ashton, Maverick, and Greyson Wise; Ripley and Romy Scott; and Brenleigh Eager.

Larry spent his early years working as a blaster and driller before becoming a heavy equipment operator, a career he continued until retirement. He was known for his strong work ethic, big heart, and dedication to his family. Larry never missed a school or sports event involving his children or grandchildren his support and presence were unwavering.

He had a unique love for animals and enjoyed raising and selling baby raccoons, pheasants, and quail, a hobby that brought him great joy and connection to nature.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son Chase Eager; his parents Preacher and Dorothy Eager; his brother Gary Eager; and his mother-in-law Barbara Brown.

Larry will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, a hard worker, and a gentle soul who deeply cherished his family. His legacy of love and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Bearers are Clayton Eager, Elijah Eager, Josh Eager, Dillon Scott, John Eager, Mark Isenburg, and Mike Bradley.  Honorary bearers are Hunter and Haiden Eager, Porter, Jack and Owen Scott, Ashton, Maverick and Greyson Wise, Ripley Scott.
