LARRY COLLINGS
ADA-Memorial services for Larry Clifford Collings, 62, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Jeff Sloan will officiate.
Mr. Collings died Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was born August 19, 1945 at Ada, Oklahoma to Robert Earl and Opal Irene Smith Collings. He graduated from Ada High School.
He married Joyce Mae Robertson on October 1, 1965 in Ada, Oklahoma. Mr. Collings previously managed several auto parts stores and also owned Coyote Colors in Ada from 1995 to present. He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church and had served in the U. S. Army Reserve from 1965 until 1972.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Collings, of the home; a son, Donald Wayne Collings, Denver, Colorado; a daughter, Kimberly Lynn Collings, Norman; his parents, Earl and Irene Collings, Ada; two brothers, David Collings and wife Janie, Pauls Valley, and Don Collings and wife Sharon, Middletown, Maryland; his mother-in-law, Jessie Robertson, Ada; brothers-in-law, Gerald Robertson, Houston, Texas, and Larry Robertson and wife Patty, Ada; and several nieces and nephews.
Honorary bearers will be Jesse Albritton, Wendell Wynn, Rick Bailey, Ronnie Pogue, Bill Snyder, and Brandon Smith.
