CLAY HOWRY
ROCKWALL, TEXAS-Services for Landon Clay Howry, 49, of Rockwall, Texas are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Covenant Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Latta. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada.
Mr. Howry died Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at a Dallas, TX hospital. He was born June 1, 1962 in Oklahoma City. His parents are Jack and Katherine Stevenson Howry of Ada. Mr. Howry attended Washington Elementary, Ada Middle School and graduated from Ada High School in 1980. He attended East Central University and the American Airlines Computer Training Facility where he received his training to be a travel consultant.
Mr. Howry worked for 25 years as a travel consultant, most recently through Campbell Travel in Dallas, TX as an independent consultant. He was a member of the Prestonwood Baptist Church in Dallas, an associate member of Covenant Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Latta, and was very active in many fundraising activities for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
He is survived by his daughter, Taylor Nicole Howry of Rockwall, TX; his parents, Jack B. and Katherine Stevenson Howry of Ada; a sister, Kristin Kay Grant and her husband Matthew Grant of Hot Springs, AR; a nephew, Jacob Matthew Grant of Hot Springs, AR; also special friends, Hill and Reneé Feinberg, Max McDermott, Wade Benham, and a host of many other family members and friends.
Bearers will be Matthew Grant, Bart Stevenson, Coy Howry, Randy Gilbert, Dell Howry, and Steve Howry. Honorary bearers will be Sam Whisenhunt, Hill Feinberg, Mark White, Max McDermott, and Wade Benham.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, 2nd Floor, Bethesda, Maryland 20814; the Covenant Presbyterian Church, 15791 St. Hwy 1W, Ada, OK 74820; or the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
