ADA-Services for Kris Eric Cook, 29, Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Faith Assembly of God Church, Rev. Larry Hatfield will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Kris died Saturday, March 21, 2009 at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born March 13, 1980 at Ada, Oklahoma to Jerry and Phyllis Venable Cook. He lived here all his life and graduated from Byng High School. He also attended East Central University.
He married Leslie Briggs on November 13, 1999 at Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Kris was the computer technician for the Allen Public School System. He and his wife attended the First Baptist Church, Ada.
Survivors include his wife, Leslie Cook, of the home; his parents, Jerry and Phyllis Cook, Ada; one sister, Kelli Butler and her husband Anthony, Ada; his grandparents, Horace and Hazel Cook, Mill Creek; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Trent and Diane Briggs, Ada; a sister-in-law, Charity Key and her husband Chad, Ada; a niece and nephew, Makenzie and Scott; and other relatives and friends.
Bearers will be Anthony Butler, Jeff Cook, Bill Nickerson, Paul Penwright, Larry O'Dell, Chad Key, David Cook and Jack Wofford.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, National Headquarters, 3300 East Sunrise Drive, Tucson, AZ 85718.
