IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth Allen
Phillips
July 19, 1947 – August 25, 2024
Kenneth Allen Phillips, 77
Kenneth Allen Phillips, a cherished husband, father, Papa, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at the age of 77. Born on July 19, 1947. Kenneth's life was marked by dedication, service, and a deep love for his family.
Kenneth graduated from Ada High School in 1965 and proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1968 to 1971. Kenneth took the skills he learned and experience gained in the Navy and quickly began his fulfilling career at Tinker Air Force Base, working on a few different aircraft until his retirement in 2005.
On June 5, 1971, Kenneth married Sandra L. Bradford, an Ada girl herself, together they built a life filled with love and the two were rarely seen without the other. The young couple were blessed with two children: Bradford Phillips in 1973, and Kylee Phillips Voyles in 1977 before building and moving into their forever home in the country north of McLoud, Oklahoma.
Kenneth was a devoted family man who knew God and found immense joy, watching his children and grandchildren grow. Kenny was a staple at all events, sporting or otherwise, involving his kids and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy Phillips; his son Bradford Phillips and Nikoma Klein of Perkins; his daughter Kylee Phillips Voyles and her husband Mark Voyles of McLoud; his sister Glenda Findley of Cleveland, Oklahoma; and his six grandsons Marcus Voyles of Harrah, Hunter Phillips of Stillwater, Logan Voyles of Midwest City, Layne Phillips of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Colten Klein of Stillwater, and Trace Phillips of McLoud. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Madelynne and Tanner Voyles of Harrah, and numerous nieces and nephews.
When he wasn't being everyone's #1 fan he enjoyed working in his shop, remodeling his house, and restoring and tending to his beloved 1967 GTO. He was known for his enthusiasm and pride in workmanship, working cattle with his family, mechanics and carpentry, growing a garden, and cleaning the pool. Kenny found great satisfaction in a job done right.
Kenneth's memory will be cherished by all who knew him. His kindness, dedication, and love for his family will continue to inspire and be remembered fondly.
A celebration of Kenneth's life will be held at the Criswell Funeral Home in Ada, Oklahoma, Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 2:00. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your local VA in Kenneth's honor. Agent Orange is still affecting our Veterans.
