STONEWALL-Memorial services for Kenneth Ray Maxwell, 77, Stonewall are 2:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home. Family and friends may call at Criswell Funeral Home Thursday until 9:00 p.m.
Mr. Maxwell died Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at a local hospital. He was born October 14, 1932 at Seminole, Oklahoma to Millard Marion and Bessie Lula Brewer Maxwell. He graduated from Stonewall High School.
Mr. Maxwell spent his career as a fabricator, mechanic and equipment operator. He retired from Pontotoc County as a welder and mechanic. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include four children, Kenny Maxwell, Stonewall, Chris Maxwell, Oklahoma City, Barbie Cranford and husband Dewayne, Stonewall, and Debbie Claxton and husband Tim, Ada; three grandchildren, Christine Cranford, Stonewall, Kyle Claxton, Healdton and Shelby Cranford, Stonewall; a great grandchild, Layn Claxton, Healdton; four sisters, Nita Oliver, Oklahoma City, Jeanne Long, Oklahoma City, Dell Maxwell, Oklahoma City, and Patsy Maxwell, Stonewall; and many nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Gilbert Maxwell and a sister, Eva Maxwell.
