KENNETH CLINTON
ADA-Services for Kenneth Charles Clinton, 89, of Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Central Church of Christ, Bud Ross will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Purcell, Oklahoma.
Mr. Clinton died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at a local hospital. He was born July 30, 1923 at Signal Hill, Oklahoma to Elmer "Slim" M. Clinton and Dovie Terry Clinton. He graduated from Rosedale High School and received his Bachelor's and Master's Degree from East Central University.
He married Hazel Milford on January 12, 1942 in Ada, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death on November 14, 1991. He married Connie Henry Pegg on July 20, 1992 in Honolulu, Hawaii and she preceded him in death on February 10, 1994. He married Mildred Young Morgan on September 3, 1994 in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Clinton was a teacher at Washington Elementary School for 10 years and managed the East Central University Book Store from 1966 until 1985. He was active with the East Central University Alumni Association and the Red Red Rose. He was a member of the Central Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Clinton, of the home; five sons, Larry Clinton and wife Sandra of Ada, Gary Clinton and wife Pam of Norman, Oklahoma, Dr. John Clinton and wife Becky of Norman, Oklahoma, Phillip Clinton and wife Linda Kay of Guthrie, Oklahoma and Tim Clinton and wife Shanon of Trinity, Alabama; two daughters, Cheryl Johnson and husband Byron of Kaufman, Texas and Janet Alexander of Ada; fourteen grandchildren, Darren Clinton, Tara Humphers, Adam Clinton, Emily Claude`, Amy Antinoro, Katy Henshaw, Lance Clinton, Tony Clinton, Matt Clinton, Charlsie Clinton, Jamie Stephen, Will Johnson, Shane Alexander and Jennifer Alexander; 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Hazel Clinton and Connie Clinton; a sister, Jean Miser and one brother Raymond Clinton.
Pall Bearers will be grandsons, Darren Clinton, Adam Clinton, Lance Clinton, Tony Clinton, Matt Clinton, Clinton Humphers, Will Johnson and Shane Alexander. Honorary Bearers will be H. A. Blackburn, Waymon Lillard, Bill Adams and Tom Stephens.
