KENNETH BAKER

EAST STROUDSBURG, PA-Services for Kenneth Ray Baker, 64, East Stroudsburg, PA, formerly of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. David Gray will officiate. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Roff.

Mr. Baker died Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at an Orlando, Florida hospital. He was born July 17, 1943 at Sulphur, Oklahoma to Ibert Kenneth and Helen Lorene Brandon Baker. He graduated from Albuquerque, New Mexico high school in 1961. He received a Bachelor's degree from Wayland Baptist College in Plainview, Texas, a Master's degree in Speech at the University of Arkansas, and a Ph.D. at the University of Nebraska.

He married Haruyo Mizuno on December 26, 1966. Mr. Baker taught for one year in Beaumont, Texas. Later, he was the owner-operator of a hobby store and international stamp business.

Survivors include his wife Haruyo Baker, of the home; two sons, Ken Ray Baker, II, Hindsville, Georgia, and Michael Lynn Baker, Dallas, Texas; his mother, Helen Proffitt, Ada; his father, Ibert Kenneth Baker, Florida; one brother, Gary Baker, Ada; and a sister, Janice Baker, Colchester, England.

Bearers will be Kenneth Ray Baker, II, Michael Baker, Dan Atwood, Ralph Hill, Wesley Eidson, and Sam Baker.
