KELSIE MORRIS

ADA-Services for Kelsie Morris, 79, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church, Revs. Frank Trent and Jeff Frazier will officiate. Burial will follow at Steedman Cemetery. A Wake Service will be held Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Morris died Friday, February 1, 2008 at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born January 28, 1929 at Kullihoma, Oklahoma to Watt and Minnie Nelson Alexander. She attended Kullihoma school.

She married Richard Morris on July 2, 1970 at Stratford. He died December 10, 1997. Mrs. Morris was a homemaker and spoke fluent Chickasaw, and was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include her children, Carl Carpenter and wife Linda, Tulsa, Connie Wear and husband Randy, Ada, Kenneth Carpenter and wife Brenda, Checotah, Mattie Thurman, Ada, Sue Fish and husband Willie, Norman, Dusty Miller and wife Savina, Ada, Shirley Miller and fiancé Matt, Moore, Leta Burwell and fiancé, Robert Thompson, Ada, Tami Morris, Ada, and Mae Blankenship and husband Eddie, Ada; three sisters, Lou Yargee and husband Henry, Allen, Leota Allen, Mesquite, TX, and Linda Berry and husband Ron, Noble; 25 granchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Terry Miller, granddaughter, Liz Carpenter, grandsons, Scott Carpenter and Billy Jack Carpenter, a sister, Opal Jordan, brothers, Jim Alexander, Austin Alexander, Willis Alexander, Donald Alexander, Larry Alexander, Edmond Alexander, and John Alexander.

Bearers will be her grandsons, William Fish, Justin Miller, Keith Carpenter, Charlie Carpenter, Matt Carpenter, and Joe Carpenter.
