Keleigh "Cole" Mooney

Mrs. Mooney died Wednesday, March 18, 2026 surrounded by family and friends.  She was born January 17, 1964 in San Pablo, Seville Spain to Samuel Isaiah and Belva Sue Thompson Cole. She came to this area in 1980 from Pitkin, Louisiana.

She married Donnie G. Mooney on August 11, 2007, at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Ada. Keleigh loved her family and friends deeply. Her sons were the center of her world, but her grandchildren were above all else her greatest joy. She took pride in being present for their lives, always cheering them on at their sports and school events.

She was an incredible great-aunt who showed up for her people in every season of life, whether it was a celebration, a milestone, or simply being there when someone needed her most. She had a way of making everyone feel important and loved.

Keleigh lived a life full of adventure, traveling throughout Europe and many states across the U.S. She spent over a decade as an educator, leaving a lasting impact on those she taught. She loved music, the arts, and attending cultural events. She never met a stranger and could turn a simple introduction into a lasting friendship.

Survivors include her husband, Donnie, of the home; two sons, Alex Terry and wife Sierra and Michael Terry and wife Olivia; uncle, Bill Curtis, of Ada, OK; aunt, Caroline Medler of Pitkin, LA; her mother, Belva Sue Ryan of Pitkin, LA; grandchildren, Naomi, Silvan, Orion, Archer, Mabel and A.J.; brother, Jason Cole and wife Kyla of Lake Charles, LA; sister, Kim Weldon and husband Nolen of Pitkin, LA; lifelong friend who was like family, Debbie Yahola; nieces and nephews, Dace Cole and wife Sydney of Texas, Avery and Addison Cole of Lake Charles, LA, Cade Weldon and wife Breanna and their children, Blake and Palmer of Lake Charles, LA; cousin, Shad Stewart and wife Kelly of Pitkin, LA; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Cole; her stepfather, Tom Ryan; her maternal grandparents, Ernest and Maggie Thompson; and her paternal grandparents, Samuel Douglas Cole and Juanita and Shelton Curtis.
