ALLEN-Services for Kattie Marie Wallace Yount Prentice, 81, of Allen are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Allen School Auditorium, Rev. Buddy Drake will officiate. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Allen Chapel from 4:00 p.m. Wednesday until service time.
Mrs. Prentice died Saturday, September 22, 2012 at a Midwest City hospital. She was born July 25, 1931 at Red Oak, Oklahoma to Jodie Marshall and Johnnie Lee Thompson Wallace. She graduated from Allen High School.
She married Benny Pearl Prentice on January 14, 1981 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mrs. Prentice was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Benny Prentice, of the home; four daughters, Sheila Matthews and husband Gary of Francis, Debbie Cundiff and husband Kenny of Allen, Paula Colbert and husband Larry of Allen, and Jerri Starns and husband Frank of Ada; a son, Mark Prentice and wife Tammy of Ada; nine grandchildren, Sheryl Goodson and husband Jack, Atwood, Kanan Matthews and wife Tasha, Allen, John Cundiff and wife Lisa, Allen, Jodi Watkins and husband Jason, Colbert, Adam Colbert, Allen, Justin Colbert and wife Randi, Ada, Chad Colbert, Enid, Nick Starns and wife Amy, Gainesville, TX, and Charles Prentice, Ada; her great grandchildren, Bodrey Goodson, Brogden Goodson, Khloe Goodson, Chad Goodson, Cole Goodson, Lilly Matthews, Gus Matthews, Jake Matthews, Kinlee Cundiff, Kamlin Cundiff, Jaycee Watkins, Jaxon Watkins, Riley Colbert, Bella Starns, and Ethan Starns; her sisters and brother, Alice Douglas, Natchez, MS, Joyce Sells, Atwood, Betty Mitchell, Allen, S. L. Wallace, Allen and Mildred Black, Allen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Gwen Robinson and Mary Ross.
Bearers will be her grandsons, John Cundiff, Kanan Matthews, Adam Colbert, Justin Colbert, Chad Colbert, Nick Starns, Chad Goodson and Cole Goodson; and grandsons-in-law, Jack Goodson and Jason Watkins. Honorary bearers will be Jamie Howard, Tim Robertson, Alan King, Harold Akins, Ed Prentice, Bill Griffin, David Wallace, Stan Wallace, Gary Cooper, Roger Merriman and Kerry Caldwell.
