SULPHUR-Services for Katie Jean Stevenson, 30, Sulphur, are 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Covenant Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Rev. Linda Snelling officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery.
Ms. Stevenson died Sunday, September 12, 2010 near Sulphur. She was born February 26, 1980, in Stroud to Stan and Janet Braden Stevenson. She attended elementary school at Madill and Idabel, junior high at Konawa, and graduated from Ardmore High School. While at Ardmore she was a member of the high school band where she played clarinet and was a drum major, member and officer of the colorguard, member of winterguard, and participated in many of the fine arts programs including choir, musicals and theatre. While working toward a nursing degree, she attended East Central University and received her CNA license from Mid-America Vo-Tech and was a Nurse's Aide at Buford Nursing Home in Davis. She is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Konawa, Oklahoma.
She is survived by two beautiful daughters, Lexie and Lindsay Manuel, Sulphur; father and mother, Stan and Janet Stevenson, Sulphur; brother, Jesse Stevenson, Ada; grandmother, Katie Marie Braden, Sulphur; two aunts, Mary Hinkle and husband Roy, Ada; and Bettye Cooper and husband Ray, Eufaula; one uncle, Tony Braden and wife Marie, Ardmore; and numerous cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ed and Billye Jean Stevenson and Glen Braden.
Bearers are Stephen Cooper, Aaron Cooper, Charles Carpenter, Todd Carpenter; Bart Stevenson and Richard Stevenson.
