Katie Braden
ADA-Services for Katie Marie Braden, 92, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Covenant Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Rev. Linda Snelling will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Braden died Monday, June 29, 2015 at a local nursing home. She was born November 15, 1922 at Ada to Haley and Alma Herron Williams.
She married Glen William Braden on April 6, 1940 in Ada. He preceded her in death October 29, 1990. Mrs. Braden was a homemaker and a member of the Covenant Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include daughter, Janet Deniece Braden Stevenson, Ada; daughter-in-law, Marie Braden, Ardmore; two granddaughters, Tawana Braden, Ada and Tonya Braden, Ardmore; a grandson, Jesse Glen Stevenson, Ada; two great-grandchildren, Lexie Jean Manuel and Lindsey Deniece Manuel; and other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Tony Braden; son-in-law, Stan Stevenson; granddaughter, Katie Jean Stevenson; three sisters, Evelyn Bottoms, Dottie Andrews and Ila Thompson; and two brothers, Haley Williams, Jr. and Erman Williams.
Bearers will be Randy Davidson, Roger Strong, Frank Kiser, Ron Davidson, Gary Haney and Larry Young.
