ADA-Services for Kathy L. Lacen, 60, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Dennis Lacen and Todd Lacen will officiate. Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Highland Cemetery in Iola, Kansas.
Kathy died Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at a Norman hospital. She was born June 25, 1951 in Kansas City, Kansas to Donald W. and Earlene Birdsong Rust. She attended grade school in Kansas City and graduated from Iola High School. She attended Allen County Junior College in Iola, Kansas.
She married Russ Lacen on August 7, 1970. She and her family moved to Ada in June, 1991 from Valley Center, Kansas.
Survivors include her husband, Russ Lacen, of the home; three daughters, Chriss Brown and her husband Aaron and Tonya Sudduth and her husband Shane, both of Wichita, KS, and Natalie Haney and her husband Stephen of Ada; her mother, Earlene Rust of Wichita, KS; a sister, Linda Walter and her husband Dave of Norfolk, NE and their children, Trent Walter and Tara Brown; five grandchildren, Katie and Ben Brown, Austyn and Elizabeth Sudduth, and Brittany Haney; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Rust.
