Services for Karen Byrd, 76, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Bud Ross will officiate.  Burial will follow at Tishomingo Cemetery.

Mrs. Byrd died April 8, 2021 at her home.  She was born February 19, 1945 in Ardmore, OK to A. A. "Spike" and Junia Mable O'Bryan Mitchell.  She graduated from Ada High School in 1963.

She married Donald Lee Byrd June 7, 1963 in Ada.  Mrs. Byrd was a Bookkeeper and Administrator at Ballard Nursing Home for over 30 years, and was employed with the Chickasaw Nation as an Accountant.

Survivors include her husband, Donald of the home; her son, Matt Byrd and Amanda Lopez; daughter, Kristin Price and Ernie Dunlap, II; two brothers, Pat Mitchell and Mike Mitchell and wife Cheryl; seven grandchildren, Logan Byrd, Dalton Robason, Alexandra (Alex) Price, Zac Byrd, Jules Price, Ember Byrd and Evony Byrd; several nieces and nephews, Jerry Winters, Bobby Winters, Steve Stick, Ashley Miller, Teddy Allen and Ryan Mitchell.

Bearers will be Matt Byrd, Kristin Price, Logan Byrd, Dalton Robason, Alexandra Price, Zac Byrd and Jules Price.
