June Smith

Services for Yetta June Smith, 92, of Byng are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Steve Gardner will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith passed away Monday, April 15, 2019 at her daughter's residence. She was born June 24, 1926 at Tyrola, north of Ada to Dorsey N. and Dadie D. Duvall Myers. She attended Byng grade schools and graduated from Enid High School. She then attended a business college.

She married Bud Godfrey. He preceded her in death. She later married Doug Smith in 1964. He preceded her in death in 1986. Mrs. Smith was a legal secretary for Claude V. Thompson. She was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church at Byng.

Survivors include a daughter, Lynda June Brown and husband Rodney of Ada; four grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Steven Godfrey; a sister, Dadie Gosa; and three brothers, Dorsey Myers, Jr., Don Myers and Paul Myers.
