JUDITH PRATHER
ADA-Services for Judith Ann Prather, 55, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Jamie Perry will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Francis. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Ms. Prather died Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at her home. She was born June 10, 1953 at Ft. Chaffee, Arkansas to Eugene Lloyd and Martha Dethrow Prather. She and her family moved to the Stonewall area from Ft. Chaffee. She graduated from Stonewall High School in 1972 and received a Business Management degree from the Pontotoc Vo-Tech. Ms. Prather was affiliated with the Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Chandra Sampson and husband Shane, Ada, and Charity Woods, Tupelo; her mother, Marty Harper, Ada; a brother, Buddy Don Prather and wife Kathy, Stringtown; two granddaughters, Katelin Sampson and Jaycee Eddings; three nieces; and one great nephew.
She was preceded in death by her father who raised her, Macon Harper and biological father, Eugene Lloyd Prather.
Bearers will be Shane Sampson, Jamie Abbott, Hershel Stewart, Steven Martinez, Buddy "Don" Prather, and Ricky Carpenter.
