Judith Ann “Judy” McGaha Hagar
Services for Judith Ann “Judy” McGaha Hagar are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at First Baptist Church; Rev. Steve Wilburn will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Judy was born January 26, 1943 in Ada, OK. She passed away peacefully at an Oklahoma City hospital on May 15, 2026. Judy was the oldest of four children born to James Houston and Joan Long McGaha. Herdad served in World War II and was a POW so Judy was several years old the first time she ever got to meet him.
Judy attended Ada schools and graduated in 1961. It was in school that she met Billy Dean Hagar. They married in June of 1961 and were married 64 years until his passing in January, 2026. Together they raised three children; Mark, Jill, and Brett.
Judy spent most of her career with Vision Bank. Upon her retirement she was an Operations Officer. She loved her job and rarely ever missed a day of work.
Her faith guided every part of her life. She loved the Lord deeply and showed His love through kindness, compassion, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Her strength came not only from determination, but from a quiet and steady trust in God through every joy and hardship she faced. She was a faithful wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, treasured friend, and a source of comfort to many. Her prayers covered those she loved, her words brought encouragement, and her life reflected grace and humility. She found joy in serving others, gathering with family, and sharing her faith through both work and example.
She loved to exercise, read non-fiction, eat chips and queso, and cheer on the OU Sooners softball team. She just knew this will be the year they win another national championship. Fishing was also a favorite pastime of hers.
But with all her interests, being a MeMe brought her the most joy. She loved spending time with each and every one of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She spoiled them rotten and her fridge was always stocked with their favorite foods. She hosted countless parties and events to celebrate them. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, kindness, and strength that will guide them always.
Judy is survived by her three children: Mark and wife Melody Hagar, Jill and husband Jeremy Danielson, Brett and wife Cynthia Hagar. Eight grandchildren: Brett Hagar, Jr., Rhyley and husband Turner Brewer, Ryan and wife Nina Hagar, Tate Danielson, Reid Danielson, Ryder Hagar, Riddik Hagar, and Remi Hagar. Two great grandchildren: Fallon Brewer and Nash Brewer. She also leaves behind her sister Mollye Haney, brother Paul McGaha and wife Zelia, and sister-in-law, Linda McGaha. She is also survived by many other family and friends.
Pall bearers are: Clint McGaha, Matt McGaha, Jeff McGaha, Luke Haney, Monty Collings, and Jamie Simpson.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:23
