JUDY CARROLL
ADA-Services for Judith Ann "Judy" Carroll, 67, of Ada, are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. John D. Norvell will officiate.
Mrs. Carroll died Monday, April 8, 2013 at her home. She was born January 7, 1946 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Wesley R. and Dorothy Loretta Brown Taylor. She attended Washington and Willard grade schools in Ada and graduated from Ada High School in 1964. She graduated from East Central University with Bachelor's and Master's Degrees.
She married Jerry W. Carroll on May 30, 1964. Mrs. Carroll started her teaching career in Norman in 1972 until 1975. She and her family moved back to Ada in 1975 where she taught English and was a Guidance Counselor at Ada High School, until retiring in 1998. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Carroll, of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Shelly and Alan Beers of Owasso and her granddaughter, Holly; two sisters, Eva McCown and her husband William, Van Alstyne, TX, and Ann Biddy and her husband Phil of Seminole; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Winton; and a brother, Bob Taylor.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Ovarian Cancer Research, 825 NE 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104-5097.
