Joshua Dan Stewart

Joshua Dan Stewart was born January 25, 1985, in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Danny and Theresa Rice Stewart.  He passed away in Wichita, KS on November 3, 2025, at the age of 40.  Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2025, at Southwest Church of Christ.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Joshua was raised in Ada, OK and graduated from Ada High School in 2003.  He later earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma.

Joshua loved listening to his dad preach and giving hugs to all, especially his mother.  He was a kind, compassionate, and gentle soul without an ounce of malice in his heart.  He was always ready to help others and never had bad things to say about other people.  Joshua was gifted with the ability to encourage others.  He deeply loved his brother, family, friends, and his brothers and sisters in Christ.  Children, animals, and senior citizens were drawn to him due to his heartwarming smile and loving nature.  Joshua had lived in Wichita, Kansas since 2021 and worked for a lawn and tree service.  The owner of the company considered him an excellent employee with great work ethics and people skills with other workers and customers.  His favorite hobbies were fishing, golfing, and attending OU football games with his dad.  It was hard for him to drive past a pond without saying, "I'd love to drag a spinnerbait through that."  He was never happier than when he was with family and close friends.  He will be deeply missed by many.  He was a member of the East Pointe Church of Christ in Wichita, Kansas.

Preceding him in death are his paternal grandparents, Cap and Teen Stewart, his maternal grandfather, Hoot Rice, and his aunt, Rhonda Hickman.

He is survived by his mother, Theresa Smith and husband, Brent, of Ada, OK; his father, Danny Stewart and wife, Paula, of Sulphur, OK; his brother, Caleb Stewart of Ada, OK; his grandmother, Pauline Rice, of Ada, OK; and his aunts and uncles and many cousins and friends.

Bearers are Blake Lawson, Austin Foust, Cody Proctor, Jacob Bass, Jim Voigt, and Keith Miller.
