Joshua Saunders

Services for Joshua Brandon (Josh) Saunders, 36, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Ada, Rev. Tommy Chaffin will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Josh passed away Monday, December 21, 2020. He was born August 11, 1984 at Brandon, Florida to Lynn Dale and Cynthia Kay Shumard Saunders. He attended Hayes, Willard and Washington Grade Schools and graduated from Ada High School in 2002. Josh attended the University of Oklahoma and studied Construction Science.

He married Amber Michelle Mick November 1, 2014. Josh was a building contractor in the Ada area. He loved his family and friends, lake time and golf.

Survivors include his wife, Amber, of the home; his daughter, and the light of his eye, Sutton Kay Saunders; his parents, Lynn and Cynthia Saunders, Ada; sister, Britney Bennett and husband Patrick, Ada, nephew, Brantley Bennett, Ada; brother, Lucas Saunders, Ada; his mother-in-law, Debbie Mick, Edmond; his in-laws, Ashley and Bill McDonough, Edmond, Taylor and Hailee Mick, Edmond, and Courtney Mick, Edmond; nieces, Caroline McDonough, Emilee Mick and Hadlee Mick; and nephew, Mason Mick.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Dorothy Saunders; maternal grandparents, Warren and Vermell Shumard; an uncle, Jack Shumard; and aunts, Pam Shumard and Jewel Dean Shumard.

Bearers will be John Whitesell, Brad Gaddis, Kyle Sheppard, Carter Matthews, Robert Thurman and Taylor Mick. Honorary bearers will be Patrick Bennett, Brantley Bennett, Jack Wiezorek, Brandon Lefler, Jim Wright, Mason Mick, Tall Guy Myers, Taylor Myers and Tanner Myers.
