Josephine "Aunt Jane" Goddard, 95, of Portales, New Mexico, formerly of Ada
Ms. Goddard died Saturday, April 5, 2008 in Clovis, New Mexico. She has lived in Clovis since 1978.
She was born May 2, 1912 in Ada, Oklahoma to George and Inez Goddard. She was a graduate of East Central State College and an elementary school teacher at Hayes Elementary School in Ada all her working life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and later the First Baptist Church in Clovis, New Mexico.
Survivors include two nephews, Jerry P. Cantwell and wife Barbara, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Larry D. Cantwell and wife Patty, Portales, New Mexico; one niece, Jan McNutt and husband Ray, Purcell, Oklahoma; five great-nephews, Donald Gregory, Daniel Cantwell, Jimmy Ray and Harold Ray McNutt; and two great-nieces, Bethany Cantwell Talbot and Deanne McNutt.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, George and Inez Goddard; her sister, Madeline Cantwell; three brothers, George Goddard, Jr., Elwood Goddard, and Charles Robert Goddard.
