JOSEPH NICOLOSI, JR
ADA-Services for Joseph Nicolosi Jr., 33, Ada, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home chapel, Rick Putnam and Tom Balmer officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home. Military honors will be conducted by the Chickasaw Nation Honor Guard at the cemetery.
Mr. Nicolosi died Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at his home. He was born April 10, 1978, to Joseph and Diane Owens Nicolosi at Woodbury, New Jersey. He attended school in New Jersey and came to the Ada area in 2007. He earned his degree at East Central University. Mr. Nicolosi served in the U.S. Army and was a commander at the American Legion Post 72 and also the District 4B Commander of the American Legion. He served on the American Red Cross Board of Directors and was a member of The Sons of the Confederacy.
He and Amber Glidewell were married Oct. 8, 2008.
Survivors include his wife Amber, of the home; a daughter, Alexa, of the home; his mother, Diane Nicolosi, Pitman, New Jersey; his brother, James Nicolosi, Pitman, New Jersey; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Barbara Glidewell, Dierks, Arkansas; and several nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Nicolosi, Sr.
Bearers are Gordon Derrick, Gary Spikes Sr., Paul Goodman, Josh Black, Ted Keefer, John Correll, Mike Carder and Jonathan Swan. Honorary bearers are Paul W. Harbin, James Lee and Allen Mast.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to the American Legion Post #72, P.O. Box 1263, Ada, OK, 74820.
