ADA-Services for Joseph Britton Crawford, 90, of Ada, are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Kenneth Butler and Robert Brown will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
Mr. Crawford died Saturday, September 6, 2014 at his home. He was born January 9, 1924 in Francis, Oklahoma to Eddie Brown Crawford and Lula Paine Crawford. He attended Byng schools.
He married LaVetta Frances Maner on November 23, 1946. Mr. Crawford was a farmer and rancher, a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church and he had served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, LaVetta Crawford, of the home; a son, Glenn Crawford of Bonham, TX; three daughters, Jeanette LaFevers and her husband Gary of McAllen, TX, LaNell Theser and her husband Robert of West Siloam Springs, OK, and Brenda Smith and her husband Mike of Ada; a brother, Harrel Crawford of Ada; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Bearers will be his grandsons. Honorary bearers will be his great grandsons.
