TUPELO-Services for Joseph "Joey" Bryan Morgan, 55, Tupelo, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Buddy Whiteley will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
Mr. Morgan died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, in Ada. He was born July 5, 1958, to Joe Morgan Jr. and Merilyn Gayle Enochs Morgan at Dallas, Texas. He came to this area in 1965 and graduated from Stonewall High School. He was a self-employed carpenter and a Baptist.
Survivors include his mother, Merilyn Gayle Lamb, Ada; his daughter, Tracy Lynn Mangione, New York; three sisters, Jaye Lynn Anderson and husband Bob, Tupelo, Norma Veber and husband Emmerich, Roff, Karen Hardy, Ada; his aunt, Eva Jean Woods, Stonewall; his grandchildren, Ty Mangione and Peyton Mangione, New York; a nephew, Nick Gregory, Tupelo; four nieces, Shelley Bettes, Mustang, Vanessa Alleman, Ada, Meri Hammack, Ada, and Elizabeth Veber, Roff; cousins, Sheila Smith, Shawn Transue, and Monica Woods; and several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his father, Joe Morgan Jr., a grandchild, Lici Mangione, his grandparents, Joe Morgan, Bea Morgan, Gladys Bailey and F.E. Bailey and Bryan Enoch.
Bearers will be Terry Brown, Jacqus Brown, Nick Gregory, Floyd House, Wayne Bettes and Mikell Bettes. Honorary bearers are Emmerich Veber, Kenny Pearce, Bobcat Dodson, George Bolin and Michael Hutcherson.
