ADA-Memorial services for Jo Hughey, 69, Ada are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Chapel. Floyd Kaiser will officiate.
Mrs. Hughey died Sunday, October 17, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 28, 1940 at Bristow, Oklahoma to J. S. and Alta Ingram Christy. She attended Latta School and East Central University. She moved to Ada in 1956 from Allen.
She married Leon Hughey on July 13, 1957. Mrs. Hughey was the owner and operator of the Latta Grocery Store for five years, the owner and operator of West Main Laundromat, and was employed with Flex-N-Gate in Customer Service for 27 years. Mrs. Hughey was a longtime active member of Southwest Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Leon Hughey, of the home; two daughters, Kelley Jo Hughey of Ada, and Sue and Mark Smith of Ada; three grandchildren, Claire and Billy Palmer, T.J. Epperly, and Gracie and Justin Nail, all of Ada; a great grandson, Jaydon Palmer; and a niece, Jeannie and James Leflar of Evergreen, CO; and many other family and friends.
