ADA-Services for Jon Howard Krause, 69, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Father Rusty Hewes will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery. A Rosary will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home, Deacon Dennis Fine will officiate.
Mr. Krause died Sunday, March 11, 2012 at his home. He was born October 3, 1942 in Boston, Massachusetts to Reuben Ralph and Helen Henrietta Howard Krause. He graduated from Ada High School and East Central University. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Law in 1978.
He married Shirley Jo Davis on November 6, 1980 in Fairbanks, Alaska. Mr. was a retired Corporate Attorney having worked in New Orleans, LA and Houston, TX. He and his wife returned to Ada in 2008. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ada and the American Bar Association. He served in the U. S. Army stationed in Korea.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Krause, of the home; two sons, Reuben Matthew Krause and his wife Paula of Kapa'a, Hawaii, and Jon Christopher Krause, of the home; a grandson, Ryder Finnegan Krause; three brothers, Charles Krause and his wife Brenda of Madill, Thomas Krause of Anchorage, Alaska, and Joseph Krause of Ada; a sister, Karen Baker and her husband, Dr. Ben Baker of Bartlesville; and five nieces, Erica Thurman, Michelle Krause, Allison Krause, Merideth Baker and Margery Baker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Judy Beasley; and a brother, Richard Krause.
Bearers will be Joseph Krause, Reuben Krause, Thomas Krause, Christopher Krause, Dr. Ben Baker, and Jerry Moore. Honorary bearer will be Charles Krause.
