JOHNNY VANDEVER
ROFF-Services for Johnny Ray Vandever, 47, Roff, are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Roff First Baptist Church, Rev. Tony Folger will officiate. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Roff. The U. S. Marine Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
Mr. Vandever died Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born November 30, 1963 in Denison, Texas to Dalton Elmore and Dorothy Nadine Martin Vandever. He graduated from Tishomingo High School.
He married Ellen Marie Dollard on June 13, 1986 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Vandever was a Truck Driver for Carrell Trucking and had served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the first Gulf War. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen Vandever, of the home; three children, Jessica Vandever, Casey Vandever and Bayleigh Vandever, all of Roff; three grandchildren, Zane Pennington, Kolton Pennington and J. J. Ebey, all of Roff; a brother, Billy Dewayne Vandever and his wife Dana of Pauls Valley; his mother-in-law, Phyllis Dollard of Roff; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bearers will be Dalton Vandever, Randy Bevill, Terry McSwain, Jess Rider, Craig Dollard and Rick Carrell. Honorary bearers will be Ryan Pennington, Todd McCaskill, Lyle Hedges, and the employees of Carrell Trucking.
