JOHNNY BOTTOMS

ROFF-Services for John Thomas "Johnny" Bottoms, 64, Roff, are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at the Criswell Chapel, Rev. Dan Cusher officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Bottoms died on Friday, March 28, 2008, at a Norman hospital. He was born October 28, 1943, at Ada to Roy Thurman and Marie Elizabeth Armstrong Bottoms. He graduated from Byng in 1961 and was a retired concrete finisher and owner of B & B Construction. He was a member of Ahloso Baptist Church, and an avid fisherman and hunter. He also loved antique cars.

He married Florence Ann Webb Stephens on September 3, 1991. She preceded him in death on March 25, 2005.

Survivors include a step-daughter, Melodie Mayton, Oklahoma City; a step-son, Randy Stephens and his wife Tracey, Roff; three sisters, Betty Brown and her husband Dean, Ada; Wanda Hilburn, Ada; and Mary Thomas, Ada; a sister-in-law, Joyce Bottoms, Ada; and several grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Vona Ray Bottoms; a nephew, Dusty Abbott; and a niece, Brenda Lynn Thomas.

Bearers are Wayne Bacon, Ronnie Bacon, Daniel Burkhead, Richard Crow, Mike Barker and Les Barker. Honorary bearers are nephews, David Bottoms, Scott Bottoms, Larry Hilburn, Richard Thomas, Russell Thomas and Dell Walker.
