JOHNNY OSBORN, SR.
ADA-Services for Johnny Eugene Osborn, Sr., 64, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Morris Memorial Baptist Church, Rev. Gary Jamar will officiate. Burial will follow at Box X Cemetery.
Mr. Osborn died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at a local hospital. He was born March 6, 1947 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to J. W. "Bill" and Katheryn Faye Olive Osborn. He graduated from Latta High School in 1965.
He married Nelda Kaye Forehand on December 3, 1965. Mr. Osborn was a self-employed dump truck operator and had also retired from Pontotoc County, District #1. Mr. Osborn was a Sergeant, First Class in the National Guard for 18 year with the 45th Infantry Division. He was a member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nelda Osborn, of the home; two sons, Johnny Osborn Jr. and his wife Misty of Ada, and Michael Osborn and his wife Lisa of Morris, OK; his father, J. W. "Bill" Osborn and his wife Wanda of Ada; two brothers, Jerry Osborn and his wife Sandra of Morrison, and Jack Osborn and his wife JoAnn of Commerce, OK; and four grandchildren, Justin Osborn, Lindsay Osborn, Baylee Osborn, and Trenton Osborn.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Katheryn Osborn.
Bearers will be Donnie Wilson, Gary Starns, Johnny Clayborn, Charlie Pogue, Eugene Marrs and Charlie Gollihare. Honorary bearers will be the remaining Pontotoc County District #1 Employees.
