Mr. Hawkins was an auto mechanic.
Survivors include a son, Johnny James Hawkins, Jr. and wife Veronica of San Antonio, TX; a sister, Penny Harper of Allen; and a nephew, David Leon Harper of Allen.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
