JOHNNY B. CORVIN
JENKS-Services for Johnny B. Corvin, 53, Jenks, formerly of Ada, are 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Jimmy Keith will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Corvin died Thursday, September 18, 2008 at his home in Moore. He was born July 14, 1955 in Ada, Oklahoma to J. B. and Jewel Southerland Corvin. He attended Washington grade school and graduated from Ada High School where he played on the Ada High School football team. He graduated from East Central University and received a Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Oklahoma.
Mr. Corvin was a Research Scientist with Amoco Petroleum for 12 years. Later, he was employed with American Airlines. He was also did contract research for various companies in Tulsa and Oklahoma City and was a software engineer with Order-Matic in Oklahoma City.
Survivors include his mother, Jewel Corvin, Ada; a sister, Joyce Smith and husband Mack, Ada; and a niece, Amy Smith, Oklahoma City.
He was preceded in death by his father, J. B. Corvin on June 29, 2008.
