JOHN WATSON
ADA-Graveside services for John Rufus Watson, 90, of Ada, are 1:00 p.m. Friday at Laurel Land Memorial Park Cemetery in Dallas, TX, Bruce Bailey will officiate.
Mr. Watson died Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at his home. He was born November 28, 1921 at Jonesboro, Texas to Alfonzo Thomas and Thelma Magnas Thompson Watson. He graduated from Jonesboro High School.
He married Eva Lee Lynch on June 28, 1941 in Jonesboro. She preceded him in death on December 21, 2003 in Dallas, TX. Mr. Watson was a self-employed carpenter and had served in the U. S. Army during World War II and was affiliated with the Church of Christ.
Survivors include a sister, Emily Wallace of McGregor, TX; a son, Johnny Watson and wife Lola of Ada; three grandsons, Wayne Minson, Ada, Clay Minson, Washington, OK, and Tyler Watson and wife Hannah of Ada; five great grandchildren, Kaylee Siegenthaler, Rylan Siegenthaler, Holly Minson, Jeremy Watson and Colton Watson; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Sharron Minson; granddaughter, Angela Siegenthaler; and a grandson, Jeremy Watson.
