HARVEY STILWELL

ADA-Services for John Harvey Stilwell, Jr., 82, Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Earl Hood will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Stilwell died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at his home. He was born April 20, 1927 at Haskell, Texas to John Harvey and Glennis Nell Kennedy Stilwell. He attended schools in Goree, Texas and Ada, Oklahoma. He and his family moved to Ada from Goree in the early 1940's.

He married Patricia O. Perry Kirby on December 9, 1950 in Ada. Mr. Stilwell was a truck driver for Hill Trucking Company until his retirement and he had served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He received the Army of Occupation Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

Survivors include, Pat Stilwell, of the home; four daughters, Linda Kirby, Judi Bynum and Jeanie Stiles, all of Ada, and Sherrie Swyden and husband Tim, Cashion; sons, Rick Stilwell and wife Bobbie, and Robbie Stilwell and wife Diane, Ada, and Randy Stilwell and wife Ruth, Crown Point, IN; fifteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Perry, Ada; and a brother, Randall (Tex) Stilwell and wife Jo, Ada;

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Barbara Bobo.

Bearers will be his grandsons, R. J. Stilwell, David Swyden, Jason Bynum, John Stiles, Aaron Bynum and Kevin Stiles.
