JOHN LOGSDON
FITTSTOWN-Services for John T. Logsdon, 75, Fittstown, are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Bobby Johns and Guy Logsdon will officiate. Burial will follow at Franks Cemetery.
Mr. Logsdon died Sunday, October 14, 2007 at his home. He was born June 10, 1932 in Ada, Oklahoma to Guy and Mattie T. Marsalas Logsdon. He graduated from Ada High School, attended Oklahoma A & M and East Central University.
He married Margaret Carpenter on July 3, 1953 at San Luis Obispo, California. Mr. Logsdon was a rancher and auctioneer for many years. He was a member of the Fittstown United Methodist Church and he served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict from November 20, 1952 until October 31, 1960. He was discharged with the rank of Corporal.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Logsdon, of the home; two daughters, Sherry Beasley and husband Steve, Fitzhugh, and Terry Love and husband Harvey, Duncan; one son, Johnny Matt Logsdon and wife Darlene, Roff; ten grandchildren, Heather and husband Chad, Holly and husband Tim, Carrie and husband Adam, Haley and husband Jonathan, John and wife Fredonia, Kenneth and wife Stephanie, Felicia and Natosha, and Hoyt; five great grandchildren, Tristan, Malarie, Madi Lynn, Sidney, and Kale; three sisters, Betty Bell and husband Paul, Ada, Jean Meek and husband Lavoid, Ada, and Bobbie Koch and husband Shirley, Ada; and one brother, Guy Logsdon and wife Phyllis, Tulsa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three children who died at birth, and a grandchild, Lee Beier.
Bearers will be John G. Logsdon, Hoyt S. Beasley, Kenny L. Logsdon, Chad Mercer, Tim Larman, and Jonathan Wright.
